Generator Still Going Strong
Over the past few years, the company from whom I purchase the items I sell on my Do-a-deal-Dave website, called Cannon Tools Ltd., have kindly donated two generators to the Glory Baptist Project. In 2007, I took the generator shown in the picture to the school in The Gambia. It's still going strong and has made a huge difference, so a big thank you to them!

Scooter Scheme
Not so long ago, Worcester City Council was running a scooter scheme in areas of Worcestershire. The scheme involved providing scooters and CBT training for young adults who found jobs after periods of unemployment. However, due to financial cuts, the scheme was forced to end.
A charity has been set up through the Glory Baptist Project that requires the donation of 14 scooters (11 salvageable scooters and 3 that can be used as spares). These scooters are to be sent to The Gambia to be fixed, and so far we have 12 donated mopeds. 9 of these will be runners which can be donated to the young adults in Worcestershire, and the other three can be rented out to tourists in The Gambia. The money generated from the rentals goes towards the school.
However, the scheme is still in need of salvageable scooters and especially, crash helmets. Any donations that you can offer to this worthy scheme would be greatly received. Please contact Sue or Dave on 01905 358 217 or by using this link.
Our Latest Mission
With the money raised from selling the goods sent over by the charity, the school have been able to purchase some new land. Our new mission is to raise £10,000 to build a new school on this land.
If you can help us reach our goal, please call 01905 358 217 and ask for Sue or Dave, or, contact us using this link.
